Learning Outcomes
- Create an AI process in Cortex.
- Select a platform and model for your use case.
- Add an AI process to a pipeline.
Using Cortex
An AI process works just like a regular process in Foundry Connect. You create it once, then use it inside any pipeline. When you create an AI process, Foundry Connect sets it up with a default script and injects the required credentials automatically. The process can then make REST API calls to the selected platform.
If you want to go further, you can customize the script using your preferred programming language and SDK.
Creating an AI Process
Step 1: Open Cortex
Navigate to Cortex from the main menu. This is your hub for all AI processes.
Step 2: Create a New Process
Click New AI Process. You will be prompted to give it a name and description.
Step 3: Select a Platform
Choose the AI platform you want to use. Currently available options:
- Vertex AI
- Tamarind AI
Step 4: Choose a Model
Once you select a platform, you will see a list of available models. Pick the one that fits your use case.
Step 5: Add It to a Pipeline
Your AI process is now ready to use. Head to the pipeline builder and add it just like any other process.
